When Melissa Bajric returned to the studio to record her fourth album she wanted something special, something that showcased where her music is right now and the path she's on; the result, Diamonds & Wine. Released in early 2014, Diamonds & Wine was produced by Melissa's on-stage Musical Director Lindsay Waddington, and it delivers the energy and style of her stage shows.
At just 16 years of age Melissa was signed to record on the Drover Music label, and that same year she stepped into the studio to work on her first album with renowned producer Lindsay Butler. This was to become the start of an association that would span more than a decade.
Melissa's debut album Believe In Me was released in 2001, and it yielded a variety of Best New Talent awards. In 2003, along with label co-artists Bob Easter and Graham Rodger, Melissa released the popular duets album Drovin' All Over; and in 2006 she released her third album Small Town Girl.
The year 2007 saw the introduction of six times Queensland Musician of the Year, Lindsay Waddington, to Melissa's stage performances. Waddo is now Melissa's Musical Director, and has since accompanied her on all tours and shows that she's performed at across the country, bringing his talent and unique sound into each of her performances.
In 2008 Melissa released several film clips to country music television, all reaching the CMC Top 50. During that same year she also released the first of many tracks to international radio, with resounding success. Blue Mountain Melody, the third single from the Small Town Girl album, spent sixteen weeks in the European Top 100 charts and hit the ECMA National Top 10 in several countries. Including film clips, an almost unheard of six singles were pulled from the Small Town Girl album and released to radio and television, 5 tracks to radio and 3 to CMC, from a total pool of 6 tracks.
Melissa is a TSA songwriting award winner, she's been a Top 10 finalist in the People's Choice National Musicoz Awards, and her name has been placed on the Country Music Wall Of Honour in Tamworth.
